Dear Friends and Animal Lovers

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart about my beloved 1-year old cat, Moustachio. On Friday 21st June 2024, he was involved in a tragic incident where he was bitten by a neighbour dog, unfortunately we couldn’t identify whose dog it was. The dog bite caused severe paralysis in his right legs. Right now, he’s fighting for his life and undergoing critical care at the veterinary clinic at AWLQ Gold Coast.

On the first night 21st June, he was immediately transferred to AES Underwood for Emergency. He stayed overnight for intensive care until he was able to transfer to a Vet Clinic at AWLQ, which was also the only VET Clinic open during the weekends.

Moustachio is not just a pet but a cherished member of our family. His playful spirit and loving nature has brought so much joy to our lives and his sibling cats. It breaks my heart to see him in such pain and unable to move freely. The vet bills for his treatment are skyrocketing, far beyond what I can manage alone. Every dollar counts in his journey towards recovery. With your support, we can give Moustachio the best chance to regain his smile and mobility. Please consider donating to Moustachio’s recovery fund. As of today 26/05/2024, he is still hospitalised at the vet. He has been infected on his right foot and is fighting with pain killers. The vet has updated us saying that he cannot urinate or poo on his own due to severe pain on his back, that may have been caused by severe nerve damage and we may have to wait for better results by giving him pain killers and rehabilitation for further days at the vet.
