Hi! We are the Owens Family. We are raising money for our puppy, Mouse. If you know us then you know Mouse was evaluated last year for surgery on both his hind legs. However, we decided to get a second opinion before proceeding. His last GoFundMe helped pay for his scans. Now that we've done that we know that Mouse will need two major surgeries. One as soon as possible and one in the next year or so. The first surgery is what we are raising money for now. His left hind leg is stuck in the "open" position and he cannot bend it. You can see it sticking straight out in one of his pictures. His right hind leg is stuck in the "closed " position, it never extends and never will. The opposite positions are causing a serious twist in his spine and tail and also cause him pain. The first step is pinning his left knee so he can bend it and gain enough ability with that leg that he can (sadly, but safely) have the right hind leg amputated. The right hind leg was severely injured in an accident sometime before adoption, it cannot be repaired and is in the way of his backside. For Mouse to have any quality of life in the future he will need these surgeries. If we can get 300 people to donate $30 the cost will be covered. If you can donate even $1, it will help!!
