Please help Mouse walk without pain

I’m setting up this fundraiser to try to help Mouse and his family. They are doing everything they possibly can for him, but they now need some help.

Mouse is the most beautiful, gentle boy, a big soft soul who has already been through far more than any dog ever should.

Before being rescued, Mouse suffered abuse and had a very difficult start in life. Despite everything he has been through, he is an incredibly loving and gentle boy who finally found the safe, happy home he deserves.

Now Mouse needs our help.

Mouse is suffering with problems with his leg and, most importantly, he is in pain. His condition has worsened and his family desperately want to get him the treatment he needs.

Because of Mouse’s breed, they haven’t been able to take out pet insurance for him, so they now need help towards the cost of his veterinary care and treatment.

Mouse has already been seen by the vets several times this week. He has had blood tests, is currently on pain relief and antibiotics, and is booked in for a further assessment on Tuesday. Because he is in pain, he may need to be seen again sooner.

At the moment, we simply don’t know exactly what treatment Mouse is going to need or what the final cost will be. As soon as we know more, we will update everyone here.

We want to be completely transparent that £5,000 is our initial fundraising target, not an estimate of Mouse’s final veterinary bill. We are being realistic and know that the cost of his treatment could be considerably more.

UPDATE - we’ve just been advised that the treatment is going to be in excess of £8,000 so we have put the target higher- we are grateful for any help

Right now, the most important thing is making sure money doesn’t stand in the way of getting Mouse the help he needs.

After everything Mouse has survived, it is heartbreaking to see him hurting now that he has finally found a family who loves him and a life where he is safe.

We’re asking for help for Mouse.

If everyone who reads his story gave even £1, together it could make an enormous difference. Every donation, however small, will go towards Mouse’s veterinary care, investigations, treatment and recovery.

And if you aren’t able to donate, please share Mouse’s story. A share costs nothing, but it could put his fundraiser in front of someone who is able to help.

We’ll keep everyone updated with Mouse’s appointments, treatment plan and costs as we learn more.

If more money is raised than Mouse needs for his care annd treatment any remaining funds will be donated to the rescue charity that originally saved him, helping another dog who needs the same chance Mouse was given.

Mouse has already survived the hardest part of his life.

He shouldn’t have to spend the rest of it in pain.

Please help us give this beautiful boy the chance to be comfortable again, to run, play and enjoy the life he deserves.
