This August, we are headed on a Journey to Mexico, to renovate a school in Mexico City from top to bottom. With your help, we can transform this school from top to bottom, and give its students a healthier, happier place to learn and grow.

Help us to make it possible!

***When we hit our $5k goal, we are picking one person from our community of supporters to come with us. Suggested minimum donation: $25.
See bottom for details.***

This two-day school renovation is called an Extreme School Makeover: together we'll transform the school in a weekend, working alongside local members and students to paint the walls, garden, provide new learning materials, paint murals and help with basic improvements that will create a better learning environment for years to come.

Where Funds Go:

Our partner on the ground is Glasswing International: a world-class nonprofit organization that has done hundreds of these projects in the past 10 years. Glasswing's philosophy is to improve on existing infrastructures in schools, hospitals and community centers, rather than building new ones. Their concept is simple: foster change by investing in a community’s existing resources – its infrastructure and its people.

The requires $5,000, donated directly to the nonprofit to cover all supplies, materials, and tools needed to transform the school in a weekend.

How it works:

All funds benefit Journey's nonprofit sister organization, Ushwara. Our approach has three parts: transformation of self, community, and world.

The impact work on our Journeys is made possible by funding and empowering world-class organizations, so that we know every project is needed by the community, and sustainable for the long-term.

This trip will also include experiential opportunities to engage in social entrepreneurship learning. From panel to wellness. we will be there for the community and each other.

You, our community, helps make this impact possible as we grow. Let's do this!
