Lifting Up Moua and Family in Memory of Pakou

A Life of Service:
For years, my uncle, Pastor Moua, has stood at the pulpit and at the bedsides of his congregation at Benediction Lutheran Church, offering grace, prayer, and support to those in their darkest hours. He has dedicated his life to serving others, but today, he is the one in need of a miracle. We are reaching out to ask for your help and your prayers for a man who has given so much to so many.

The Double Burden: the unthinkable
Pastor Moua is currently facing an unthinkable double crisis. He is personally battling kidney failure, requiring grueling, regular dialysis treatments to survive. While carrying the weight of his own health, he is also walking through the valley of the shadow of death with his beloved wife, Pakou. Her Triple-Negative cancer recently advanced rapidly to Stage 4, spreading to her lungs and liver and the doctors have given her a timeline of 6 months to a year.

The Heart of a Father:
"Even in the midst of his own dialysis treatments and his wife's terminal diagnosis, my uncle’s primary focus is his family. He has five boys at home, ranging in ages 19 years old to a 4-year-old son, who are watching their parents fight these monumental battles. The anxiety and emotional toll on the family are immense. As a pastor, he has always relied on his faith, but the financial and physical reality of two parents being critically ill at once is a burden no family can carry alone.

Unable to Work, But Still Fighting:
Because of the physical toll of kidney failure and the urgent need to be by his wife's side at the hospital, Pastor Moua is currently off of work. For a man who has been the provider and the protector, being sidelined is incredibly difficult. Without his ability to work, the family has lost its primary source of income just as medical bills and household expenses are reaching an all-time high.

How You Can Help:
As his family, we are asking the community—his brothers and sisters in Christ, his neighbors, and his friends—to surround him. Your donations will help:

* Sustain the Household: Ensuring the five boys are cared for while Pastor Moua manages his dialysis and stays by his wife's side.

* Medical Relief: Covering the mounting costs of treatments for both kidney failure and Stage 4 cancer.

* Providing Peace: Giving this shepherd the ability to focus on his wife and children during their final months together without the distraction of financial ruin.

A Call to Prayer:
We ask for your fervent prayers: for healing for Pakou for strength for Pastor Moua during his dialysis, and for peace for their five sons. Thank you for loving this family who has loved so many.
