My best friend Monica whom I have known since 10th grade recently got diagnosed with endometrial cancer, she had no health insurance at the time of her diagnosis & due to it is not able to get any health insurance coverage at the moment even though she urgently needs surgery to remove her uterus & the rest of her reproductive organs in order to prevent the further spread of the aggressive cancer that they found not even a month ago. The Doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center are not sure just how complex the surgery will turn out to be & are telling her that she will most likely be undergoing chemotherapy after her procedure which is scheduled for February 3rd.

During this whirlwind of unexpected & unfortunate events I just want to try to help alleviate some of the financial burden, the stress & the pressure that comes with this type of diagnosis for this selfless Mother of 3. Monica Sanchez is the type of person who knows no stranger, she has a servant's heart, she is a giver, she has given so much of herself to so many people while asking for nothing in return, she is the person always willing to lend a helping hand no questions asked. She has touched so many people's lives with her kindness, hospitality, friendliness, charisma & generosity that I just want to attempt to give her back a little bit of that in return with the help of friends & family & people who know her(& maybe people who have not had a chance to meet her) that are moved & feel it in their heart to go out of their way in order to help this Mom during this time of uncertainty & need in her life.

She has opened her home to make so many people that she has met feel welcome, cared for, & appreciated. She is a remarkable woman, Wife, Mother & friend & your contributions will certainly make a difference & be a blessing in her life just like she has made a difference in so many of our lives. Even in the midst of it all she remains that cheerful, positive & loving human being; a blessing to so many of us who have the privilege of knowing her.

Mi mejor amiga Monica a la cual conozco desde que estabamos en High School fue diagnosticada con cancer endometrial recientemente, desafortunadamente ella no tenia seguro medico en ese momento y ahora debido a su diagnostico no le es posible obtener cobertura medica aun que necesita una cirugia urgentemente para poder quitarle su utero y el resto de sus organos reproductivos para evitar que el cancer agresivo que le detectaron hace menos de un mes se siga propagando. Los Doctores en el MD Anderson Cancer Center no saben con certeza que tan complicada podria llegar a ser su cirugia y le estan casi asegurando que lo mas probable sera que necesite quimio terapia despues de su procedimiento quirurgico que ya esta programado para el 3 de Febrero.

A causa de esta tormenta inesperada y durante este tiempo de incertidumbre quisiera tratar de ayudarle a aliviar un poco todo el estres y la presion economica que este tipo de diagnostico significa para esta Mama. Monica Sanchez es una persona con un corazon dispuesto a servir a los demas sin importar quienes sean y sin esperar nada a cambio, siempre esta dispuesta a ayudar y a contribuir a la vida de quien sea sin importar nada. Ella a tocado la vida de tantas personas con su amabilidad, con su hospitalidad, con su sencillez, con su carisma, con su generosidad, etc y yo solo quiero intentar regresarle un poco de eso con la ayuda de amigos, familiares y personas que la conocen(y talvez hasta de personas que no la conocen) a las cuales les nacio contribuir a esta causa.

Moni le a abierto las puertas de su hogar a tantas personas para hacerles sentir bienvenidas, en confianza, apreciadas y queridas; es una mujer, Esposa, Madre y amiga excepcional. Su ayuda marcara una diferencia en la vida de mi amiga ahora que ella esta atravezando por este capitulo devastador financieramente hablando, sera realmente una bendicion para ella y para su familia.
