Motasem is a young father and permanent resident of Canada. His mother and younger brother are currently trying to flee the atrocities in Gaza and need your help to do so.
This fundraiser is to cover the costs of legal & administrative expenses (here in Canada) for the application process. The goal is for $5,000. 100% of the funds raised will be going to Motasem, and any additional funds raised will be used towards future expenses that will come up during this process (medical, travel, coordination, translations, additional administrative expenses).
The urgency of this campaign comes from the facts that:
- The application process is already in progress, and fees are already starting to incur
- Motasem’s younger brother (18yo) was recently shot in the back by armed forces while trying to get food and aid from a distribution site in Gaza. He just regained consciousness, but is paralyzed from the waist down. Because of his condition, efforts are being made to get him out of Gaza as soon as possible for his medical needs
