Hi there, our names are Moss and Lee, and we have found ourselves in need of help from our community. Lee and I just moved from the Louisville Metro Area in mid April to the Minneapolis area after Lee got a great job up here.

We moved up here (using our savings) and within two weeks, I lost my pregnancy at ~31 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. I was incredibly sick and almost lost my life along with losing our daughter, Evelyn. I’ve always been told I was sterile after suffering two miscarriages at early term due to PCOS, so losing our rainbow baby has been particularly difficult for us. This along with the reality that we will never be parents of our own children due to the threat of preeclampsia taking my life if we tried again. Life has just been hard.

Long story short, I’ve been unable to get a job due to my health until a couple weeks ago. I’m still not anywhere near 100%, but I have to work for us to live. I was hired at a hardware store, then was offered a much better job at a radiology clinic after working at the hardware store for two weeks. Rent is coming between now and my first check at the clinic. The hardware store only made me enough money to cover food and a couple utility bills. We are doing everything we can to keep up with bills, including Lee selling his plasma (I can’t due to my medical issues), and selling anything we have that we don’t need.

It has been two months since I lost my daughter and I still haven’t been able to take a breath. I am so worried about losing everything we have worked so hard for. We would really appreciate some help from our community so we can stop worrying so much about money until my first payday at the clinic, begin to really process what we’ve just lost, focus on getting me in better health, and settle in to life in a new state.
