My name is Marquis, and I am reaching out on behalf of my brother, Morrell Daniels. Recently, Morrell faced a life-changing event—he had to have his leg amputated below the calf. This has been an incredibly difficult journey for him, not only physically but emotionally as well. He has been fighting through depression and mental health challenges as he tries to adjust to this new way of life. Despite these hardships, Morrell has shown incredible strength and resilience, especially as he continues to support our mom, who is not as mobile as she once was and faces her own daily struggles.
The financial impact of Morrell’s situation has been overwhelming. He had to move back home to help care for our mom, and not being able to work has placed a serious strain on their finances. Every day is a challenge to cover basic needs like food and shelter, and now, Morrell is also trying to figure out how to afford a prosthetic leg. This prosthetic would not only give him a new outlook on life but also a second chance to move forward with hope and independence. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Morrell obtain his prosthetic leg, cover daily living expenses while he completes rehab and learns to walk again, and continue to support our mom during this difficult time.
As a military veteran with 26 years of active duty service, I am putting my pride aside to ask for help for my brother. Morrell has always been there for our family, and now he needs the support of our community. Any assistance you can provide—no matter how small—will be deeply appreciated and will make a real difference in Morrell’s life. Thank you for considering our family and for helping us find hope in this challenging time.
