Hello, my name is Hans van der Kwast from the Netherlands. For many years, I have had the privilege of working with Hussein, a dedicated mountain guide in the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Together, we have embarked on numerous journeys, scaling the heights of Toubkal and trekking through the stunning valleys dotted with remote villages. These experiences have not only been adventures but have also led to a deep bond with Hussein, his family, and the wonderful people of Aroumd.

Tragically, this area was recently struck by a devastating earthquake. Many homes were destroyed, including Hussein’s. Now, as winter approaches, these families face the harsh reality of sleeping in the cold without shelter. This is an urgent crisis that we cannot ignore.

I am starting this campaign to raise funds to help Hussein’s family rebuild their home. But I believe we can do more. With additional donations, we can extend our aid to more families and villages around Aroumd. I'll be in Morocco from 1 - 12 October and will coordinate with Hussein that the funds are being used for reconstruction of houses damaged by the earthquake. I'll regularly update donors about the progress.

Every contribution will make a significant difference. It will provide not just materials for rebuilding homes but also hope and resilience for these hard-hit communities.
