Help Morgan-Ryan Cassell
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I am starting this Go Fund Me for my sweet co-worker and friend, Morgan-Ryan Cassell. She was involved in a near fatal accident with a drunk driver along with her best friend Alyssa and her husband Chase. I have pasted what happened in her words because she explains what happened really well. She is still recovering and has missed work at both jobs and we dont know when she will be able to come back to her job at Riff-raff. Thank you in advance for anything you can donate to help her out!
“12:45 am. March 24, 2024. The scariest, worst day of my life. It was the exact time where a drunk driver was driving on the wrong side of the road. With no escape, all I could do was brace from impact. Where I said out loud that there was no way I was surviving this. He was racing at me. Hit me head on and spun my car. I felt every everything. Both hits! My best friend was behind was that car behind me. We were leaving work and we were so close to being home. For me, 8 minutes away from safely being in my bed. 8 minutes from not having to give up my next 3 months to relearn to walk. 8 minutes away from not having 5 fractured ribs and a puncture hole in my heart. 8 minutes away from not having a gash across my liver. 8 minutes away from not demolishing my sisters car and having them using the jaws of life to rip the car apart to free me from being stuck. 8 minutes away from not being a actual human pretzel for 30 minutes. She was 20 minutes away from her and her husband not losing the car that they JUST got and they were so proud of. She was 20 minutes away from not being traumatized being involved in such a terrible wreck. She was 20 minutes away from not being harmed. We were so close to being safe and unharmed. So close to not totaling 2 cars! I will wrap this up. I didn’t mean for it to be a rant but writing this at 2AM and I need to let my anger out at the grown DRUNK man that almost killed me. I had surgery on my broken femur ( the hardest bone to break ). It broke because my knees were SHOVED into the dash. I was stuck. For 30 minutes, me and the car were one. And it was absolutely terrifying. But I’m not gonna stay bitter. I’m thankful that I’m still here. I’m thankful that my best friend and her husband were able to walk away. I’m thankful that the man that caused this, was arrested and will be held accountable for this. I’m thankful for my family who RACED to the crash site just to help any way they can. I’m thankful for my friends and family that has spent their weekend coming up to the hospital to check on me and keep me company. I’m thankful that I had a giant network of people reaching out to me to make sure I was okay and if I needed anything. I’m thankful that someone from above, stopped me from dying. I’m only posting this so everyone knows what happened. Be careful out there. Alyssa ! I owe you and Chase every thank you that I can offer. After the impact, I was sitting there. Trapped with my knees inside the dash and the pain of my back getting smushed because the seat to the steering wheel. And I wanted to just let go. I didn’t want to deal with what was going on. But you ripped that door open Alyssa and the excitement of seeing you Alive and trying to save me, triggered my will to fight through this. Hear you and Chase comfort me and do everything you canto help before the paramedics got there. Plus that sweet lady that witnessed it and decided to stop and rush to help. I’m thankful for y’all. I’m forever in debt to y’all! Thank you!”
