Help Morgan Recover from Back Surgery!

You love him, we love him: Seattle’s own Morgan Marchant!

He’s probably poured you a shot or made you some food when you were hangry, he’s probably given you a hug at a party, he’s probably given you an absurd garnish on a cocktail, bought you a present for no reason or made you a piece of art!

But maybe he didn’t tell you that he’s been out of work for over 6 months due to back injuries. Early this year, he underwent spinal fusion surgery and had a tumor removed from his back. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and Morgan is taking some time to heal up and do physical therapy before he can return to work.

Unfortunately, however, his FMLA has now run out and the remaining after-insurance costs include $7200 for the surgery and $2400 for MRIs and doctor's visits, not to mention the normal costs of food, bills and rent.

With all of these things, our dear friend needs a little extra support right now. So:

How can you help support Morgan?

1. Donate here. 100% of funds raised here will go to Morgan.

2. Come to Liberty Bar, starting on the 7th, and order from a menu featuring some of our favorite Morgan-made cocktails. 50% of all sales will go to Morgan to help pay for his medical expenses through May (and possibly longer!).

3. It's Morgan’s Birthday Week! We are throwing him a party on Sunday the 7th and we’d love for you to come by and hang out with the man himself. As an homage to Morgy, probably wear all black and a baseball hat (or maybe a onesie or romper if you’re feeling spicy). A menu of his drinks will be available and we will donate 100% of menu sales for the night of the 7th. Show him some of the love he has so freely given to our community over his bartending career!
