Help Morgan Kick Cancer's ASS!

Hi everyone,

 

I’m fundraising on behalf of my best friend, Morgan Lopez, who is in need of financial help after being diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma on October 10th. When Morgan started feeling sick this summer, she brushed it off as a cold or flu. However, after weeks of becoming increasingly ill, she took herself to the hospital where they discovered a mass between her lungs which was compressing her heart valve. A week later she received the official diagnosis of this rare lymphoma.

 

She began treatment immediately which consists of 96 continuous hours of chemotherapy every 21 days for the next 6 months. In between treatments, she is required to return to the hospital and get bloodwork twice a week to determine if she needs a blood transfusion. When Morgan was admitted for her second round of chemotherapy this week (November 5th), she suffered a seizure which delayed her treatment and extended her hospital stay.

 

Morgan is an absolute BADASS, and while there is no doubt in our minds that she will overcome this, her road to recovery will be long and, unfortunately, very expensive.

She and her family are humbled and so appreciative for the overwhelming words of encouragement & support that she has received by so many of you already.

 

The money raised in this fundraiser will be used to help cover Morgan’s medical expenses not covered by Medicaid, but also the everyday living expenses that pile up shockingly fast. Including but not limited to:

 

There is truly no one in this world like Morgan. The humor, attitude and spirit she has kept throughout this process so far has amazed, but not surprised me, because that’s who she is: hilarious, optimistic and a total survivor.

For the next 6 months, her focus needs to be on her treatment and recovery, which is why I am asking for your help, no matter how small, to make this extremely difficult time a bit easier.
