My name is Morgan, and I am part of a non-profit community band in Windham, NH. For the past couple of years, I have been lucky enough to borrow a bass clarinet from a friend. Unfortunately, they need the instrument back. Bass clarinets are not a common instrument, most of the instruments available on the market are for young students or professionals.
I have been trying to save up for a bass clarinet for a few years, but even with a full-time job and three part-time jobs, I have not been able to save up enough money.
I don’t usually ask for help, especially when money is involved. But without help, I won’t be able to play every week in the Windham Community Band, which is one of my favorite things to do.
We play at a lot of community events and parades throughout the year. My favorite concerts we play are at nursing homes in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The residents are always excited and joyful when we perform for them. It reminds me of why I’m working so hard to try to get my own instrument so I can continue to share music with others!
