Help Morgan Finish PA School

My name is Kristina and I am a Physician Assistant student at Oregon Health and Science University. My classmate Morgan Logan recently was awarded the National Health Service Scholarship (NHSC) scholarship, allowing her to receive tuition provided in exchange for serving underserved populations for two years upon graduating. Morgan found out she won the scholarship 2 quarters into our school year, after receiving some financial aid loans. OHSU is now requiring her to pay those loans back, over $9000, in order to continue at the school. They are not allowing her to register for our upcoming winter quarter unless she pays the full amount.

Morgan has put in countless hours of work and studying to get to this point. She is one of the most inspiring students in our small class of 30. She has goals to build up marginalized communities through medicine. Despite only being in her first year, Morgan is already mentoring other PA hopefuls as a way to continue giving back to her community. She is such a force of change and I know she will be even greater once she is able to finish our program.

Since day one, we have all said “30 in, 30 out”. Morgan is a monumental part of our little PA family, and we need her to continue on with us.
