My son Morgan has dreamed of flying since he was 16 years old. As a single parent, I have watched him grow into a disciplined, creative, and ambitious young man. The only person brave enough to fly with him was my late mother, his grandmother, who was always his biggest supporter. When she passed away during the pandemic, Morgan lost not just his flying partner, but also a source of encouragement that meant the world to him. For a while, he stepped away from flying, but now, inspired by her memory, he is ready to return to the cockpit and pursue his dream once again.

Morgan’s passion for aviation is more than just a career choice—it’s a lifelong dream and a calling. He is determined to become the first Black pilot in our family, setting an example for his cousins and nephews, and showing them what is possible with hard work and dedication. As his only parent, I am doing everything I can to support him, but because he is not attending a traditional school, we are unable to access financial aid. That’s why I am reaching out for help.

The funds raised will go directly toward Morgan’s uniforms, flight equipment, fuel, and room and board at the United Flight Academy in Phoenix, Arizona.
