On December 29, Morgan experienced an unprecedented seizure that left her on the floor of her home incapacitated for over nine hours. The fall left her in a position causing such severe damage that her leg was amputated above the knee.
Morgan’s life has changed drastically overnight. It will take several months for her to regain her independence and learn to navigate her life with only one leg. Morgan has two children, Rio, age 2, and Mateo, age 11, who will also need extra care while she heals.
Morgan experienced kidney failure during her month long stay at the hospital, but her kidney was functioning well enough to be released on January 20 to the care of her mother.
We are hoping to raise enough support to meet Morgan's and her children’s needs for 9 to 12 months. Please consider contributing any amount you can comfortably give.
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated as well.
