Help Morgan and Sabastian Through This Heartbreaking Journey
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Sharon Recio. I have 4 beautiful children. My youngest daughter, Morgan Dennison, is pregnant with her 3rd child. When she was 26 weeks pregnant, she found out her baby boy has Trisomy 13 and he will not be compatible with life after being born. Multiple tests were done to confirm this. Trisomy 13 is a rare genetic disorder; 1 in 10,000 babies are born with it. It is not preventable. It was also found that he has multiple health problems caused by Trisomy 13, such as a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, and a bilateral cleft lip and cleft palate. Morgan and her husband Sabastian have been having to go to Austin, TX to see multiple specialists. It is about a 3-hour drive one way. They will continue to have to go until the day of her c-section. Most babies with this condition are stillborn and only about 5% of babies survive past the first 10 days. The chances of survival go down more and more after that. Babies that do survive for a few years have what’s called Mosaic Trisomy 13, but her baby boy has full Trisomy 13 and all of his cells are affected. Every Trisomy 13 situation is different, but because of his specific situation with the heart condition and the Trisomy 13, he will not live long. Doctors think a couple of days at most, if he isn’t stillborn. My daughter and her husband have chosen to do comfort care for their baby boy in Austin, TX when he is born. They will give him as much love, peace, and comfort as possible and enjoy as much time as God gives them with him. They do not want him in pain or to die alone in the NICU. He will go to God in the arms of the people who love him. We don’t know why these things happen, but heaven needs this sweet little angel more. They are asking for help in this difficult time for travel, medical, and funeral expenses for their sweet baby boy. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Please pray for my daughter and her beautiful family. God bless and thank you so much.
