Hi, my name is Lielle and I'm fundraising for the Jewish Student Union, a nationwide community of clubs at high schools focused on building Jewish pride and spreading Jewish education for all Jewish teens!

We are just a few weeks away from the Chag of Pesach. It is well known that the very first halacha about Pesach in Shulchan Aruch is “We investigate the laws of Passover for thirty days before Passover” (Orach Chaim 229:1). As soon as Purim is over, we put down our hamentashen, and begin to prepare for Pesach. Because one of the primary Mitzvot of Pesach is educating children about the miracles that took place when Hashem choose to free us from our slavery in Egypt, "investigating" the laws are critical so that we can properly observe the holiday and teach others what they need to know as well.

For these reasons, I have decided to take on a special Tzedakah project. Up until Erev Pesach, I will be collecting different ideas and preparing 18 short Divrei Torah about different aspects of the Pesach Holiday. I am asking friends and family for a donation to JSU of $18 per donor. After these 30 days, everyone who donates will receive a special .pdf booklet with these Divrei Torah that can be shared at the Seder or throughout the remainder of the Chag.

NCSY runs more than 180 Jewish Student Union (JSU) clubs — Jewish culture clubs — on public and private high school campuses.
JSU clubs were created for Jewish students to meet other Jewish teens while learning about their heritage.
Every summer, students have the opportunity to travel to places such as Israel, to have an even more immersive experience.
