Help Mooshy fight for her life

Donation protected

Hi, and welcome to my angels story.

I adopted Mooshy from the shelter in October 2018, at 16 weeks old.

She is what puts a smile on my face every morning. She is my everything.

In October 2020, Mooshy started to develop nose discharge, and deformation of her nose. She was taken to the vet whereshe received a convenia shot. Her symptoms got better until a couple weeks later, and then returned. I rushed her back to the vet and they performed a culture and determined she had no fungi. They gave her another shot and we returned back home.

In January 2021, her nose issues returned and we went back to the vet where they took blood work and a urine analysis and provided her with another convenia shot. Her blood work returned with high globulin levels. The vet phoned me to provide me this awful news that she could potentially have FIP. He ran a FIP PCR test, which returned negative, and therefor FIP was ruled out.

In February 2021, her nose symptoms returned again and the antibiotics were no longer working. The vet performed a surgical nose biopsy to determine what was going on. Her results returned as inflammation.

Her nose issues never returned, but instead slowly her eyes started to water, she would squint a lot more and she developed inflamed cloudy eyes. She stopped eating, playing, moving. She sleeps almost all day, and stares  into space. When I call her name she doesn’t respond. I rushed her back to the vet a week ago and they performed another blood test and urine analysis. Her bloodwork remained the same as January, with a lower wbc. She also had a bladder infection. The doctor told me it was lymphoma cancer. I sat and cried to myself all day trying to process this information.

She had an X-ray the next day to determine how bad it was or what else was goingon. Her X-ray came back normal. The vet ruled out lymphoma.

I was left with no answers, and my sick girl getting worse and worse in front of my eyes and there is nothing I can do.

I learned yesterday that my girl has dry ocular FIP. And that no test for FIP is accurate, and they can show false negatives. I sat there researching FIP, with only learning that it is fatal. My vet explained the only option I had was to euthanize her. I had to process the fact that I was going to lose my angel at only3 years old.

I came to learn there is a treatment for FIP, and there has been success stories, and it is also extremely costly. She will require injections/pills for 84 consecutive days.

I have spent over $3,500 on vet costs the past couple months. And her injections/pills roughly cost $85 a day. Costing me roughly $7,000 for just her treatment.

She will be going back to the vet tomorrow to receive fluids while I wait for her treatment supply to come in. I’m mentally and physically drained, I’ve been non stop crying and trying to get myself together. Ihave to be strong for her, so she can fight this awful disease.

My only hope is this treatment.

If you are to donate, I can’t thank you enough for helping my little girl fight for her life. And if you’re not able to, please share her  story.

Any penny counts, so that my Mooshy can celebrate her 3rd birthday this June with me.

I will provide updates on her as much as I can.

Thank you everyone in advance. Please keep my girl in your prayers <3
