On March 8, 2026, in the early morning hours, Moose, a six-month-old puppy belonging to my friend, was struck by a green truck that fled the scene without stopping. Moose was left helpless, suffering from a broken pelvis and a blood clot on his bladder. The shock and heartbreak of that moment have been overwhelming, and the medical bills are already mounting with just the initial x-rays. Moose will need surgery to correct his pelvis, and unfortunately, most people don’t have thousands of dollars readily available, leaving us with a difficult choice for this young puppy. We want to give Moose the years he deserves and help him recover from this traumatic event. All funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward Moose’s surgery and post-op medications. UPDATE: with a long day at two different veterinarian clinics we have been informed that surgery is being held off on until further check ups! He still does have a broken pelvis, but may heal on its own. He’s gonna have to be closely monitored for about a month and crated! They also will monitor the blood clot so lots of veterinarian visits in the near future. Thank you all that have donated.
