The details:

What started as a birthday celebration last Wednesday turned into a week-long medical nightmare that we never saw coming.

After a week of mystery illness, multiple vet visits, and a trip to the ER, we finally have answers—but they came with a heavy price tag.

On his birthday last Wednesday(1/28), Moony suddenly stopped eating and couldn't keep anything down. After being treated for pancreatitis with no improvement over the weekend, they performed an ultrasound and revealed the real culprit, something lodged in his small intestine.

This afternoon(2/4), Moony underwent emergency surgery, exactly one week after getting sick. Thankfully, the surgery was a success! His intestines are healthy, the "birthday snack" has been removed...a swallowed cat toy. He is currently recovering in the ICU.
