Moon Yun moved to Los Angeles from Hawaii in January of last year, determined to build a new chapter in her life. For the past year and a half, she has faced professional challenges, working hard to find steady employment but often relying on odd jobs to make ends meet. Despite her persistence and willingness to take on any work available, the lack of stable opportunities has left her in a precarious situation.
Now, Moon is facing an urgent crisis. She must move out of her apartment by March 31st and may have no choice but to stay at a shelter. Even more heartbreaking, she is at risk of having to surrender her beloved dog, Granola, if she cannot find a foster home for him. The funds raised will help Moon secure safe housing, cover moving expenses, and hopefully allow her to keep Granola with her or find a temporary foster home while she gets back on her feet.
I’ve known Moon since we first met at KHON-TV Channel 2 News in Honolulu back in 1990. She is a dedicated and hardworking person, and it’s difficult to see her facing such uncertainty. Your support during this transition would mean the world to both of us. By helping Moon, you’re not only giving her a chance to rebuild, but also showing that compassion and community can make a real difference. Thank you for considering a donation and for standing with Moon and Granola during this critical time.
