Moo was surrendered to animal control, and with the help of the Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter, we were able to pull him from a kill shelter and get him safely to a foster. I am officially adopting him, but before he can come be best friends and brothers with my rescue pig (Herbie), we have to handle some of his medical needs. For lack of a daintier way to say this, Moo’s testicles never descended, and need to be removed from his abdominal cavity with a slightly more invasive and complicated surgery than a traditional neuter. Neutering pigs is a must not only for temperament issues, but to stop their desire to escape and find a mate, (which was the perpetual issue that got this boy surrendered to animal control in the first place). Any money raised over the goal will go to Snouts Of Sedona, an incredible pig rescue doing phenomenal work. Thanks for helping me save this precious boy!
