Happy New Year!

I've just posted an update that I think GFM sends out automatically to all the folks who donated and also updates the page.

As I already outlined in the update, I'm in the awful position of needing to ask for help again to pay my rent. I feel terrible about asking for myself, though I never have a problem giving when I can. I hate having to do this. I hate it with everything in me.

That's why I'm always so grateful to those who understand and are willing to help. I will never be able to show you how grateful I am. I don't know how to even start.

This is my first time really ever using GFM for myself, so I'm unfamiliar with all the ins and outs. Forgive me if you get something goofy from the page.

Now, I'm pointing out that I just updated the goal amount to $5k.

I only did that because I have no idea what happens if the goal is reached and stuff. I dont want anyone to have any complications with money bouncing around. There have been problems where things go whacky with all the various kinds of payment options available so I'm just heading that off at the pass by boosting the goal amount so there's no danger of causing problems.

I DO NOT EXPECT $5,000 IN DONATIONS OMG

That said, I mean, if you have it lying around with nothing to do, I can give it a good home.

No. It was purely to avoid any kind of weird bank stuff. I don't know how it works so I wanted to avoid a potential problem.

Hi, it's Moo!

The proverbial shit has hit the fan and I am now unable to pay my expenses after a crucial part of my work was reeled in-house by my main and oldest contract. At this point, this means I am no longer able to pay my rent with my present income.

I'm short about $250 for the month of November - money that would have been coming in from the work they unexpectedly yanked with no notice well after working hours last night (12 Nov).

I'm actively looking for work, but I need a bit of a cushion. The last help I had several weeks ago came in time to pay all my bills current, so right now nothing is late, but it will be very soon. This is why I'm asking for more than just enough to make up this month's rent.

My phone is current, but the bill is due at the end of the month, and I need that for jobs and offers; I need gas for the car to get to locations, and I need a few bucks to live on (cat food, food for me, a couple other small bills that have to be paid).

I'm asking for enough to cover me for about a month so I can pay my rent and bills while looking for work. I have several ideas, including delivery driving and Wegmans, which is actively hiring and which is purportedly a superior company to get with. I've got four transcription companies to go through the application process for (testing and etc). So I'm not just sitting here asking for people to pay for me doing nothing, I promise you.

I'm giving the breakdown here so you understand this is not me asking for cash to go have a fun time with. This is me at my wits' end, no longer to make ends meet, death by a thousand cuts, and trying like hell to find a gig that I can maintain with my medical issues not getting me fired right away.

Any help you can give will be appreciated more than you know. Thanks to everyone who has helped me in the past and who will help in the future, and to those who want to help but just can't - for whatever reason. Thank you. ✊❤️
