Monty is my tiny, four-pound rescue Chihuahua with the sweetest toothless smile. He spent his entire life in a hoarding situation, used as a breeding dog and never knowing the comfort of a real home. When I rescued him last year, I promised him a loving, peaceful retirement—and he’s brought so much joy and love into my life ever since.
Recently, Monty started coughing, and after a vet visit, we learned he has an enlarged heart and a heart murmur. He needs an echocardiogram to begin treatment, but the cost is more than I can manage right now. Like so many others, I’m struggling financially. I’ve been actively interviewing for jobs, but I also live with chronic illnesses of my own...called interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome) and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension which makes things even harder. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t afford these unexpected vet bills on my own.
Monty finally has the loving home he always deserved, and I want to give him the healthy, happy retirement he’s earned. If you’re able to help, even a little, it would mean the world to both of us. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give.
