My name is claire and Monty has been my best friend for 8 and a half years now. We have had some amazing adventures.

He went lame because he had a hole in his foot from a nail which the vet I was using failed to check and put it down to laminitis which he then did get from putting pressure on his other feet. Another vet from the same practice came back out and diagnosed laminitis, they gave him pain killer and anti inflammatory drugs. He seemed to be improving but then, while I am out of the country, he went down in his stable, got stuck in between checks from numerous people, it caused colic and a twisted gut which another vet from the same practice said was colic and gave him more drugs. The day after this he was worse than ever so I had another vet from another practice go out to him and he was to far gone so they had to put him down.

I am absolutely gutted to have lost my best friend and I really need to have his ashes back with me so that I can plant them under a rose bush as a memorial for him. Please please can you help me raise £1200 to bring him home.
