Hello, my name is Josefina Olvera, and I am reaching out on behalf of my aunt Lupita and her daughter, Montserrat Josefina Pérez García.

Montse, as she is affectionately known, has a remarkable ability to light up any room she enters. Her vibrant presence and infectious positivity make her a beloved figure to all who know her. Within minutes of meeting Montse, you'll find yourself drawn to her radiant spirit and kind heart.

However, our lives have been profoundly changed. On May 31, 2023, Montse was rushed to the ER, and we received the devastating news that she had leukemia. Over the past year, Montse has undergone numerous treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant, in hopes of overcoming this formidable illness. Despite the best efforts of her medical team, by the end of July, we were informed that these treatments were no longer effective.

Montse is now at home, where we are focusing on making her as comfortable and loved as possible during this difficult time. We are cherishing every precious moment with her, ensuring she is surrounded by family, support, and all the love we can offer.

This journey has been incredibly challenging, both emotionally and financially. My aunt Lupita and Montse’s father, Alfredo, have devoted themselves to her care full-time, which has necessitated leaving their jobs and has placed a heavy financial burden on the family.

We are reaching out for your support to help ease their financial strain during this difficult period. Your donation will assist with medical expenses, daily needs, and any other costs that arise, allowing them to focus solely on being with Montse and providing her with the care and comfort she deserves.

Sin embargo, nuestras vidas han cambiado profundamente. El 31 de mayo de 2023, Montse fue llevada de urgencia a la sala de emergencias, y recibimos la devastadora noticia de que tenía leucemia. A lo largo del año pasado, Montse ha pasado por numerosos tratamientos, incluyendo quimioterapia, radioterapia y un trasplante de médula ósea, con la esperanza de superar esta formidable enfermedad. A pesar de los mejores esfuerzos de su equipo médico, a finales de julio nos informaron que estos tratamientos ya no eran efectivos.
