Hello, my name is Kayla MacGown and I am starting this GoFundMe in behalf of my family who has been displaced due to the derecho that hit Bemidji last June.

My brother (Montgomery MacGown) his wife (Jennifer Klasen) and their two boys (Reece and Beau) have been displaced since the storm and are still not home. They have lived in hotels cramped into two small rooms with 3 big dogs. They are currently in a small air BNB that certainly isn't large enough for the family and insurance is forcing them out without a finished home. Their home is still just subflooring without workings bathrooms, a kitchen, finished bedrooms, or a finished roof. They have worked endlessly to try and get this work done with insurance pushing back every step of the way. They have lost income due to the situation, but despite losing income they have more expenses than ever. They have fought tooth and nail to try and get their home fixed. They have done everything they can possibly do, but as we have all learned this last year insurance does not care about us.

Now they need help. Good people who have helped others more times than I can count but that never ask for it in return. They have needed help for a long time but didn't want to ask. Now they need it more than ever to get this work finished so they have somewhere to live.
