Help Monte recover from Heartworms!

We are raising money to assist us with the financial burden of Monte’s heartworm treatmentand other treatments needed to get him healthy!

Monte came to us in a unique way- a woman in our community found him as a stray but simply couldn’t keep him. He was found with a thick and heavy collar on his neck that was incredibly tight, he was also about 15-20 lbs underweight, with bloody paws and just terrified.  We offered to foster him through a local rescue, however, once we met him we knew he had found his forever home. Monte loves food, any food, pets and snuggles, to pee on literally everything outside. He loves to follow his Dad around the house and rest his head on your lap when you’re at the kitchen table. Sticking his head out of the car window is another one of his favorite things!

Monte comes with a lot of medical issues- all  of which were preventable and are still correctable. He is heartworm positive, has a fractured tooth (from chewing off his lead), needs to be neutered, has a precious injury to his front leg which needs to be investigated more (likely he was hit by a car and the break in his leg was allowed to heal on its own). We are 100% committed to Montes recovery and his comfortable life with us. 

How can you help? Please donate! We are looking at about $4,000 in medical bills upfront. This includes fast kill heartworm treatment, neuter, dental and extraction, x-rays of his heart (to see the damage of the heartworms), x-rays of his leg to see if anything needs to be done for his old injury. This is just what we know. 

Monte is the sweetest, most gentle dog, even though he’s probably lived a not so great life. We love him so much and appreciate any help.
