Hi everyone, my name is Makayla, and I am writing this with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit. I am reaching out to ask for help for the living creature that means the most to me in this entire world: my cat, Monkey.

Monkey is nearly 5 years old, and if you know him, you know he is so much more than just a pet—he is family and my baby. Recently, our world was turned upside down when Monkey was hospitalized not once, but three separate times for a severely blocked bladder.

Watching Monkey go through this has been heartbreaking. We have been doing everything in our power to save him, but the costs have mounted rapidly. Between three emergency hospital stays, around-the-clock care, constant new medications, and a strict new prescription diet to prevent recurrence, we have been paying everything out of pocket.

While we are doing our best to manage his day-to-day health, the vet has informed us that there is a specific surgery available that would significantly lower the chances of his bladder ever blocking again. This surgery is his best shot at a long, happy, and pain-free life.

Well.. Unfortunately, after the exhaustive costs of the recent hospitalizations, the price of this life-saving surgery feels out of reach. We want to give Monkey the absolute best quality of life possible and keep him healthy and by my side for many years to come.
