My dog Monkey has been my best friend since I got her about 8 years ago. We both came from a tough situation, leaving an abusive environment to start a new life with my dad. Monkey has always been by my side, offering comfort and love through everything we've faced together.

Recently, Monkey hasn't been feeling well. She became very warm, stopped wanting to walk or play, and just wasn't herself. I took her to the vet, and they found she had a 104-degree fever, low glucose, abnormal blood count, and low cholesterol. The vet doesn't know what's causing these symptoms, and Monkey needs an ultrasound to pinpoint the problem. The cost of the ultrasound is more than I can afford right now—I've already spent everything I had to get her the care she needs so far. The vet has been wonderful, doing what they can to keep her comfortable and stable until we can get the ultrasound done.

I'm reaching out because Monkey is fighting for her life, and I am desperate to help her. I never thought I'd be in a position to ask for help, but I can't do this alone.
