Monkey unfortunately passed away on 10/27 at 9:19pm CST. He wanted to live so badly but his little body just couldn't keep up with the virus. He passed warmed and purring in my arms, there was no more pain. Thank you to everyone who donated and wished for his well-being. I'm happy I was able to show him the love he deserved, even if it was only for a short period of time.

I have always wanted to be chosen by a cat, I always told myself if I was patient one of these little guy would find their way to me. Monkey chose me a couple of days ago right before I was about to go to bed. I heard his big loud meows all the way from inside my house and he was sitting in my neighbors yard. I fed him some of my beef from my hamburger helper and brought him inside and he was SO loving and went straight to work at the biscuit factory. I left him in my bathroom with some food and water for the night and went to sleep. When I woke up he had started to display the signs of FPV (Feline panleukopenia virus) but I was not aware of the immediate signs and thought this it was something like him having worms or me over feeding him cause he was so skinny. It wasn't until about 11pm on 10/25 that I made the call to bring him into an emergency clinic. They ran the parvo snap test and he came back a strong positive for FPV, I had to decide on whether keeping him alive was worth it. But I was chosen by Monkey and he was asking for my help, who am I to decide whether he lives or dies? I wanted him to have a fighting chance.

Unfortunately medical care in the United States whether its for pets or humans is incredibly expensive and I don't make a lot of money at the moment (esports things). I am never one to beg or ask for handouts but I would really appreciate anyone that would help in anyway, it would be really appreciated.
