I am reaching out with the hope to find additional support for my sister-in-law, Monique, and her amazing family as she goes through radiation therapy this month. This is an incredible family who would never reach out and ask for help themselves and never hesitates to help everyone else around them. I’d like to try and help lighten this burden that has unexpectedly fallen on them.

In June 2024, a routine eye exam revealed some concerns. In the months that followed, it was discovered that Monique has a tumor on her right optic nerve called a meningioma. Inevitably, it can cause blindness down the road.

A recent scan has revealed that the tumor is growing, so there is a sense of urgency and time to get finances in order has been cut short. To help manage the size of the tumor, Monique will be undergoing 6 weeks of radiation therapy at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix starting mid-January.

As you can imagine, this has been a very stressful time for Monique and Corbin as they manage their self-owned businesses and take care of their two daughters, Brooklyn and Alyson.

Monique is best known for being a wonderful dog groomer, and she is fully dedicated to her business, “Monique’s Muddy Mutts.” She will not be able to work for the 6 weeks she is receiving radiation, and while she stays in Phoenix.
