Asking for help is difficult for me, but my girls and I have really been struggling. We are experiencing life challenges and financial hardships that I can't resolve on my own.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. Breaking the news to my daughters was the most difficult conversation of my life. For the first time, I realized that I need to take care of myself, or I may not be here for them. I lost my best friend to breast cancer. I lost my mom to a degenerative brain disorder. It is painful all around; for them to suffer, and for their loved ones to lose them. I prepared to endure whatever was necessary to live for my children in hopes of surviving to see them grow and thrive.

I started chemotherapy; four drugs infused once every three weeks. I became ill. I lost my hair. I stopped working. I withdrew from my last (2) courses required to complete my Bachelor's degree. Life had taken a sharp turn.

Not long after, we separated from their father. We have been homeless since February. I will soon be without my vehicle as well. I'm working hard to secure a perminent place for us, but it has been tough.

I finished 6 aggressive rounds of chemotherapy! But, there is still a long road ahead. I continue with one chemotherapy infusion and one targeted therapy infusion for 8 more months. I will have surgery. Then, near the end of my treatment, I will have radiation therapy.

I know that one day, I'll be back on my feet again ! We are in need of some help getting there. I'm so grateful for the thoughts, prayers, and for those who have helped us during this difficult time. Thank you for hearing our story!
