Hello, my name is Monique Rodriguez. I’m a 40-year-old mother of four, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping others through healthcare. Today, I’m asking for your help so I can finally fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse.
My journey began early. At just 19, I became a young mother and started working as a phlebotomist to support my child. For 10 years, I stayed in that role—committed, reliable, and driven by a passion to grow in the medical field. Eventually, I became a Surgical Tech in Labor and Delivery, helping bring life into the world every day.
Though my dream of becoming a nurse never left my heart, life took me in another direction. I got married, had three more beautiful children, and focused on being a wife and mom. But after 15 years in a toxic and emotionally abusive marriage, I finally found the strength to leave. I now have a restraining order, and for the first time in a long time, I’m choosing myself and my kids’ future.
Now that I’m free to chase my dreams, I’ve taken every step to move forward. I completed all my pre-requisite courses, and I’ve officially been accepted into the RN program at Pacific College. This is a huge milestone—but I need help getting across the finish line.
The total cost of my tuition is $84,000. My goal is to find 400 people willing to donate just $20. Every dollar truly counts. Your support will go toward making my dream a reality—not just for me, but for my children who are watching their mom never give up.
I’ve always been a giver. In fact, I was a surrogate mother for three families, helping others build their dreams even when I was putting mine on hold. I’ve spent my life helping others—now I humbly ask for help in return.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Please consider donating and sharing my campaign. Together, you can help me become the nurse I’ve always dreamed of being.
