Urgent: We Need Our Car Back by November 12

Our Situation

Hi, my name is Monique, and my husband Chris and I are working hard to keep things together after a rough few months. Two days ago, our car was repossessed — our only means of transportation and my only source of income.

I’ve been working DoorDash seven days a week, eight hours a day, to bring in steady cash flow while developing my small business, Zenchanted Health. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I had fallen behind on my car payments — they were set to auto-pay, and the email notices ended up buried in my spam folder.

Chris’s Injury

In early July, Chris was injured at work when a delivery person ran into his knee with a dolly full of boxes. He’s a chef at a nursing home, on his feet all day, and ever since the accident he’s been working through a lot of pain. Workers’ comp insists his pain is from arthritis and not the accident, even though he clearly has more damage now than before. A torn meniscus, and a cracked tibiae, (he can't even put his own socks on!) yet he continues to work because we need both incomes to stay afloat.

Why We Need Help

Since the accident, I’ve been driving Chris to and from work because biking or long walks are too painful. Now, without our car, neither of us can get where we need to go — and I’ve lost my only way to earn income through DoorDash.

We don’t have family left to turn to, and most of our friends are already stretched thin. We’re not asking for a handout — just a little help to get back on the road so we can both keep working and move toward stability again.

$2,775 to get our car back by November 12

Because I won’t have any income until the car is back, any additional support will also help us cover the next car payment and keep us stable in the weeks that follow. Every contribution — big or small — makes a difference.
