What Happened:
Monika, our dedicated Director of Human Resources, relocated to Reims, France, to help establish a new company as part of an ambitious start-up focused on energy and climate change solutions. Everything was set in motion: agreements signed, business plans approved, and relocation arrangements made.
However, the investor unexpectedly disappeared, leaving my team—and especially Monika—stranded in a foreign country with unpaid invoices and no financial support. Over the past 18 months, she has sold her belongings and exhausted her savings just to survive. Monika is alone in France, far from her loved ones, and facing insurmountable financial and emotional challenges.
