good afternoon everyone,

I am hoping to gather some support for a local family in our AES community this Christmas season. One of our own, Monica Smith, is facing a challenging few months, and I think it would be a great idea to come together to help make the holidays a little brighter for her family.

Monica’s husband TJ, was recently medically laid off from his full-time job right before the holidays and at the same time, Monica is preparing for hip surgery next week that will require her to be off work without pay during recovery for a minimum of 3-4 months. With both income and mobility impacted, the family is under significant financial strain heading into the holiday season.

They have a 7-year-old daughter, who is sweet, creative, and full of imagination. Like any child her age, she’s excited for Christmas, and we’d love to help make sure she has a special holiday despite everything going on.

I am collecting gifts, gift cards, and monetary donations to help support the family with:

• Christmas gifts for their daughter

• Fuel cards

• Groceries

• Help covering lost income during medical leave

Their daughter, Liliana, is a girly girl to boot! She loves the color purple, unicorns, K-Pop Demon Hunters, dresses, dancing, coloring, and sticker by number books. She wears size 7/8 clothes and size 1 shoes.
