Those of you who know Monica, probably have been to one of the many fundraisers/benefit events she has hosted on behalf of her friends, family, coworkers. Monica was always the first one to organize a collection when a colleague was in need. Her generous heart is one of the many reasons why I love her. Monica has so much pride and never likes to let people see her struggle.

Now she could use our help. After a horrible car accident in March of 2025 which left her in severe pain, that no doctor diagnosed the main issue until this past April. Monica, who is a bartender, has worked standing on her feet, moving cases of products while having this pain in her back and side. After months of seeing different doctors, multiple visits to the ER and running several tests, they are now finding out it was a spine fracture that was the root of her pain and now requires major surgery to fix and once that is completed, they will then schedule her the shoulder surgery still needs as well. This spine fracture has caused infections in her body that has recently hospitalized her for 5 days with pneumonia.

I am certain she will pull through, but it is a long road ahead and she will be out of work until both surgeries are done (doctors estimate it could be a year before we know if she can return to work) I hope we can pull together for her, as she has done for so many in the past. Thank you.
