Help Monica Overcome Cancer

On December 16, 2023 Monica went to the Emergency Room with severe abdominal pain. After a series of tests, she was told that they found a tumor on her ovaries. On December 18, she underwent surgery to remove cancer from her ovaries as well as her bladder and stomach. She spent the next 2 weeks in the hospital recovering with her husband, Lenny, by her side. Their young children were at home with both grandmothers, who were trying to keep them from having to know what we knew.

Monica has Stage III Ovarian Cancer.

Although the surgery has been completed, the real work starts next week when Monica and Lenny travel to MD Anderson in Houston to determine the best chemotherapy treatment.

Family is helping to care for their children, but they still need help to pay for the astronomical expenses they are suddenly faced with. The funds raised here will support Monica and her family and contribute to her care.
