My name is Bella Herold, and I am hoping to raise money for my beautiful mom, Monica Herold. In 2022, my mom underwent a mastectomy followed by six surgeries over the next two years. After nearly three years, she is finally ready to take the next step in her healing journey: breast reconstruction surgery.

This decision hasn’t been easy. The physical and emotional toll of past surgeries and treatments brought a lot of stress, and the idea of another operation has been overwhelming. Still, she’s moving forward with incredible strength and faith.

She is a hardworking mother of mine, Kassidy, and Tommy, who works two jobs a week to support herself and our family. Her surgery is scheduled for April 8th at Sloan Kettering Hospital in Manhattan. Because of the procedure, she must stay nearby for a week, covering costs for housing, groceries, and daily necessities. In addition, she will need to take six weeks off work.

Throughout everything, my mom has remained hopeful, resilient, and full of faith. She has always been a high-spirited woman and continues to inspire me every day. If you know my mom, you love her. She brings light into any room she walks into and is truly such a selfless, incredible woman. She deserves every ounce of love, peace, and happiness. She is and will forever be mine and my siblings' role model.
