My mom, Monica Monson, is an amazing woman who has always put others first. She works as an elementary school counselor, helping children every day, she’s a loving wife to my dad, and she’s also a devoted mom and to me and my three siblings. Everyone who knows her appreciates her kindness and optimism.

This past December, we received the unfortunate news that she had breast cancer, picked up on a routine mammogram. Through this journey, she has remained in good spirits and unfailingly optimistic. Even during the most challenging times, her positive outlook and resilience has shone through, inspiring everyone who knows her story. Her strength and unwavering hope has constantly amazed us. Now, after months of doctors appointments and a double mastectomy, she is finally on the road to recovery—and we want to celebrate her victory in a way that’s truly special.

My mom LOVES Disneyland (and those who know her know she loves Stitch!) but she hasn’t been in almost 10 years. Nothing would bring her more joy than stepping back into the magic, surrounded by the people who love her most. We’re raising funds to make this dream trip a reality after everything she’s been through. This isn’t just a getaway—it’s a chance to honor her journey, create new and happy memories, and remind her how loved she truly is.
