On February 10, 2026, I received the news that I have breast cancer. Since my diagnosis, life has changed dramatically for me and my family. I haven’t been able to work a full week, and the financial strain has been overwhelming. The emotional toll is just as heavy, as we try to navigate this new reality together.

One of the biggest challenges is the weekly drive for treatment, which is two hours each way. With gas prices so high, these trips have become a major expense. On top of that, my husband’s company recently took away his overtime, which used to help us get by. Medical bills, travel costs, and everyday expenses are piling up, making it harder to focus on healing and staying strong.
