Help Monica Defeat ESRD

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brittany Stephenson, and I want to share the heartfelt story of my sister, Monica Graham. Monica has recently been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), a condition that has taken our family by surprise. We've never had any history of kidney issues, so this news has been devastating for all of us.

Since July 2022, Monica has been on a challenging medical journey. She spent ten days in the hospital fighting for her life and has since relied on dialysis treatments to keep her kidneys functioning. Initially, she received dialysis in a center in Camden, SC, but in April 2023, she transitioned to in-home dialysis to improve her quality of life.

Monica's best chance for recovery lies in a kidney transplant, and as of May 31, 2023, she has been officially placed on the transplant list at the MUSC Charleston transplant hospital. However, while she awaits her transplant, the financial burden continues to grow. The costs of ongoing dialysis treatments and medications for ESRD and Anemia are not fully covered by insurance, leaving Monica with significant out-of-pocket expenses.

The financial strain has become overwhelming for Monica. As a mother of three children—a set of 15-year-old twins and an 8-year-old—she has always worked tirelessly to provide for her family. However, the demands of managing ESRD, compounded by the stress of going through a divorce, have made it increasingly challenging for Monica to balance her health and her responsibilities as a mother.

I am reaching out today to ask for your support. Monica's strength and determination are unwavering, and I firmly believe she will overcome these obstacles and return to her vibrant self. However, she can't do it alone. Your generous contributions can make a profound difference in her life.

By donating to Monica's medical and transplant expenses, you are not only helping her regain her health but also ensuring a brighter future for her children. The funds raised will alleviate the financial burdens, allowing Monica to focus on what truly matters—the gift of life and being there for her children.

Monica's journey towards recovery and reclaiming her life has been challenging, but with your support, we can make it more manageable. Your compassion and generosity will provide hope, relief, and a renewed sense of purpose to Monica and her family.

Please consider making a donation today. Your contribution, no matter the size, will have a profound impact on Monica's life and help her take the vital steps towards a healthier and happier future.

Thank you for standing by Monica during this difficult time. Together, we can make a difference in her life and empower her to overcome the obstacles she faces.
