I met Monica through Facebook Marketplace after I ordered some of her homemade Argentinian empanadas. I surprised Monica with $500 for a $12 order, and she broke down into tears as she told me that she's trying to raise money for her seller's permit. She had been trying to raise money for her permit, but she ended up putting that money towards her rent instead since she was behind.
