Hello Bridgetown community, friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers.

We are writing to you today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. Our beloved Monica is in the fight of her life after being diagnosed with stage 4 genetic liver failure. For those who know Monica and her mother Mrs. Darlene, you know they are kind, loving, and hardworking ladies. They both have served the Bridgetown Community well by working at the Bridgetown market. Now let’s serve them as they need our support more than ever.

Monica’s health began to decline unexpectedly. After countless hospital visits, tests, and difficult conversations with doctors, we received the devastating diagnosis: stage 4 genetic liver failure. This life-threatening condition has completely changed her life, leaving her with chronic fatigue, pain, and other debilitating symptoms. Monica is currently undergoing intensive treatment with a long and uncertain road ahead.

While we are focused on Monica’s recovery, the financial reality of liver failure is staggering and overwhelming. Even with insurance, the costs are immense and include: 

Medical bills: Out-of-pocket expenses for surgeries, medications, and frequent hospital stays. One medicine costs $4,200.00 and insurance will not cover.

Daily living expenses: Since Monica has been unable to work, donations will help cover essential bills like rent, utilities, and groceries. 

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Monica’s medical expenses and recovery. Your generosity can truly make the difference between despair and hope.
