Help Mona and her family’s children survive
Donation protected
Hello, all. My name is Rebecca. I am from the U.S.
I am starting this fundraiser for my incredibly sweet friend, Mona.
Mona has one of the most beautiful hearts I've had the pleasure of knowing. She is an educator, a wife, and most importantly, a mother.
She has survived the unimaginable during this ongoing nightmare in Gaza. Prices of basic necessities are insanely high. Flour, in order for her to make bread for her children, is $300 (sometimes more) per bag now. Every single day is a struggle beyond what any of us not enduring her nightmare can fathom.
Please consider donating whatever you’re able to in order to keep the very basic necessities of living achievable for her and her sweet babies. Thank you
“I am Mona Al-Najjar, I live in Gaza. We are a large group - 20 members from an extended family in Gaza. I built my dreams relying on God Almighty, and I spent part of my life pursuing my passion for science and knowledge. I studied a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation out of a love of life and a desire to contribute to Developing and rehabilitating children with disabilities because they are a marginalized group in society. We were displaced from my village due to its complete destruction. I lost my home and the homes of many members of my family. I lost my grandparents in the war and my husband was arrested. I lost my happiness, my future, and my memories for 28 years in the house in which I grew up, the occupation that does not exist. It differentiates between a stone, a tree, a person, or an animal. We left our homes and headed to the tents. My house and my family’s house were completely demolished. The farms that were a source of income for my family were demolished. We, my family, and my children were destroyed. We no longer had anything, no shelter, no food. There is no drinking water on a daily basis. Among our 30 eligible family members, the biggest struggle our families face on a daily basis is living in tents, struggling to meet basic needs, survive and provide for the children’s basic needs after the complete demolition of their homes and the constant fear for their lives. Our family story is a tapestry of turbulent lives. Everyone has a story and a dream deferred. Our family's displacement is not just physical; It is the displacement of hope and security. From living under the open sky in makeshift tents to facing severe shortages of food, water and medical care, our family fled, leaving behind the ruins of their home. “Please help me build houses, or build my future, or build farms to restore our source of income, or restore part of my house, and protect me from the sounds of violent explosions. We are being annihilated by hunger, poverty, cold, heat, bombs, and the loss of homes. Don’t leave me alone and help me.”
