Hi everyone, my name is Amie, I live in Germany, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Mona.
Mona is 22 years old and lives in Gaza. Before the genocide, she was studying to become a nurse — she dreamed of helping others and building a stable future. But when the bombing began, her university was destroyed and her life plans were taken from her.
Mona is now taking care of her sick mother and her siblings.
Another part of her family — is trapped in the West Bank, and they have been separated since the beginning of the war.
The goal of this fundraiser is to help Mona evacuate her family to safety and to support urgent medical care for her mother.
Below are Mona’s own words:
My name is Mona. I am 22 years old, and I live in Gaza.
Before the war, I was a university student. I had a future, dreams, and a life I was building. When the war began, everything was taken from me — my education, our home, and our safety.
I am now responsible for my family: my sick mother, my sister Marwa, and my brother Mustafa. My mother’s health has gotten worse because of the stress and lack of access to medical care. We have no safe place, no income, and no access to treatment for her.
Part of my family is in the West Bank. We have been separated since the war started, and we cannot reach each other. My biggest wish is to reunite with my family and get my mother the care she needs.
I am asking for your help to evacuate from Gaza. Your donation can give my family a chance to live, to be safe, and to be together again.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for every act of support and kindness.
