Hello friends and family!
I write this to help my (dog) niece, Momo (4-5 years old), who was diagnosed with diabetes earlier in 2017; we were finally able to stabilize her sugar level after months of trying to control her diabetes. After noticing a couple of changes and running a series of tests with the vet, it was confirmed Momo developed cataracts on both eyes. The cataracts surgery and medication is estimated to cost north of $5,000. We’ve tried applying to several financial aid sites for pets and owners in need, but didn’t qualify due to her diabetes and are looking for as much help as we can get.
My husband and I found Momo and another fur baby running around the streets of Riverside in traffic on July 2, 2016. When we took her to the vet the next day, the Vet and Tech suspected Momo could’ve been a dog used for breeding that was abandoned. Despite this, we tried to find the owners without success. My sister, Lisa, made the decision to adopt, rehabilitate, and shower her with love on July 4, 2016 while we searched for the right home; Lisa ended up being her forever mom. Momo is an only child, gets along with all her cousins (humans and dogs), and is a loving and happy pup. She loves cuddles, boiled chicken, playing hide and seek and, most of all, her mama.
